WHEN YOU DOWNLOAD THE "ALBUM" THERE IS ANOTHER ZIP FOLDER WITH PATCHES INSIDE OF THE FIRST ZIP FOLDER.
Here is a video about how I made it: youtu.be/JD2WY8LKbJg
I bought this really cheap glockenspiel while we were on a road trip in the US a long time ago. To be honest, it doesn't sound very good on its own, but it had a plastic lid that made it strong for touring.
But lately I did some experiments and found out that if you run it through a guitar pedal pitching everything an octave down... well then, suddenly you are cooking with fire. Especially if that fire gives everything a warm (fire is the only time it is OK to call sounds warm) warbly tone.
So I wanted to capture it to share with everyone else too. I cut up all of the sounds and made Kontakt and Ableton patches so you can use them in your own recordings.
Hopefully this can be a reminder that just because something isn't great at first, doesn't mean it won't get better if you put it together with the right roommate. I definitely became a better all-around dude after I met Yoshimi and moved here!
Let us know if you make something cool with it.
